Another day, another proposal that could bring big changes to our inner-city – more specifically to Calgary hotspot, Stephen Avenue.
While this one still needs approval, many steps have already been taken to develop a multi-use building between 7th and 8th Avenue on Centre Street and 1st – the current site of several historical buildings.

Submitted by Triovest, a local commercial real estate advisory and capital firm, the building that they’re calling the Stephen Avenue Quarter, would include retail shops, office space, a hotel, rental, condo units, and underground parking when finished.
With three different towers, one of which they claim would be the largest in Western Canada at 66-storeys, this building, which would be designed by Gibbs Gage Architechs, could see our city skyline change dramatically.
This, of course, is a developing story though, so don’t hold your breath for its completion.
As always we’ll keep you guys updated as more information comes to light, but until then, we want to know what you think, Calgary. Are you interested in seeing more new builds in the area? Why or why not?
