This Toronto park has a new basketball court & state of the art facilities

Calling all basketball enthusiasts. Stanley Park in Liberty Village has undergone a major transformation that you’re sure to love.

The park has just unveiled its brand new basketball court with a stunning mural and facilities, and it’s free for anyone to use.

The revamped court features upgraded surfaces, poles, and acrylic backboards, plus comfortable benches, beautiful plantings, and most notably, a stunning mural titled “DREAMERS” by the renowned artist Ben Johnston.

Why “DREAMERS,” you wonder? Johnston chose this word to capture the boundless potential that resides within each and every one of us.

The artwork not only adds to the court’s visual appeal but also brings the community together, inspiring the next generation of dreamers to shine on the court.

This initiative is part of the “Homecourt Advantage program” by Lifetime Development and Adidas Canada.

Their goal is to enhance community facilities in Toronto by renovating existing outdoor basketball courts and infusing them with art.

City councillor Ausma Malik paid a visit to the opening and said that the revitalized court is a valuable addition to the Stanley Park neighborhood.

She also emphasized the significance of public spaces and high-quality recreational facilities in bringing people together, regardless of age, background, or skill level.

The court is open to the public, and it’s designed to be an inclusive environment for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.

So gather your pals and hit the court because it’s time to unleash your inner dreamer!
