Award-winning shipping containers pop-up to open across Canada

Love Stackt Market in Toronto? Well, they’ve launched a new venture, STACKTˣ and it is expanding across Canada, to Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa this year.

With a mission to support small enterprises, STACKTˣ will open its first expansion location in Ottawa this June, followed by its new sites in the west later this summer.

For those that are unfamiliar with the concept in Toronto, the Stackt Market spans across 100,000 sq ft and is made up of over 120 shipping containers.

Here you’ll find a lovely selection of retail, showroom, studio and event spaces. “We are also home to the first-of-its-kind mobile Blue Moon Brewery. The containers are accessible from the surrounding outdoor space which restaurants + patios with outdoor seating + multiple courtyards with greenspace,” shares stackt.

It’s open year-round and a favourite destination in any season.

So to continue with its reputation of supporting local businesses, STACKTˣ aims to provide physical retail locations, tools, community-driven partnerships and resources to over 11,000 small businesses.

Since its inception in 2019, STACKT’s flagship location in Toronto has hosted over 3,000 businesses.

Some of these businesses include notable brands like Endy, Sonos, Makeway, Inkbox, and Monos with their Canadian in-store debut at stackt market.

According to the company, Stackt Market has created over 10,000 jobs, hosted over 1,800 events, and attracted more than 5 million visitors.

Ottawa, you’re in for a treat because its first expansion opening will be in the ByWard Market on June 13th, 2024.

As for Vancouver and Calgary, those locations are planned for a late summer opening.

We can’t wait to see this new venture flourish!
