The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is painting the city green next week, bringing a cheerful day of Irish-Canadian culture to Toronto with floats, music and dancing.
On Sunday, March 15, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kick off at the corner of St. George and Bloor Streets right at noon. It will then head east along Bloor Street, where it will eventually end outside the Eaton Centre and Yonge and Dundas Streets.
This massive celebration will include thousands of participants on full display. Expect dozens of groups marching, along with festive music, dancing and stunning floats.
“Members of the Toronto Professional Firefighters Association will be collecting cash and canned goods on the Parade route in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank,” shares organizers of the parade.
The parade was founded in 1988, and since then, it has entertained the city and grown into the world’s most diverse St. Patrick’s celebration. If you’re eager to learn more about St Patrick’s Day history, we shared some fun facts about its connection in Toronto.
