The 6 is home to some of the most talented people in Canada, nay… the world, but how much do you really know about our vibrant music scene? With The Sounds Like Toronto virtual exhibit, curious kittens can really delve deeper into the lives and careers of 35 of the cities most groundbreaking artists, learn about our world-class venues and even tour some of them.

In addition to just being extremely cool, Sounds of Toronto is also incredibly inspiring. Not only did creators dig up EP’s and past performances, but they’ve also looked into how the music scene affected social activism and vice-versa.

“Sounds Like Toronto features artists whose music provides messages of hope and healing, calls to resist and for social change,” said Heritage Toronto executive director Allison Bain said in a statement. “Their work resonates today. Sounds Like Toronto highlights how music can keep us connected to our city and to each other.”
