Best known for its Royal Tyrrell Museum, hoodoos and desert views, Drumheller is an incredible destination in the Fall – especially if you’re into dinosaurs. In fact, they have the largest t-rex in the world in addition to some beautiful hikes, trees and fun little shops.

No matter the season, Sylvan Lake has all the makings for a perfect day trip or weekend away – but in the fall, it’s extra special. This popular spot is only about an hour and a half outside of Calgary and Edmonton, and is an excellent place to grab a bite to eat, browse quaint little shops, or hit their iconic ice cream shop.
