Here you’ll find opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, and spotting wildlife.

According to Ontario Parks, Charleston Lake has two designated swimming beaches. One of them is located in the day use area while the other in Shady Ridge campground.

These beaches are excellent for all ages as the shoreline and lake bed are gently sloping,” shares OP.

“Both beaches are marked with buoys, however, it should be noted that lifeguards are not on duty and that animals are not permitted on the beaches.”

After you’ve taken a dip, it’s time to go on a little hike.

To find the floating bridge, you’ll need to embark on a 10 km journey along Tallow Rock Bay Trail.

Here you’ll hike through meadows, and rock ridges before reaching the floating Slim Bay bridge.

The view is immaculate and a must in any season.

So get your camera ready and plan your next adventure to Charleston Lake Provincial Park.
