To find the platform you’ll need to go just northeast of Wiarton in Grey County, on an extension of the Bruce Trail.

From there, you’ll find a massive rock jutting out of the landscape: the natural viewing platform.

If you want to hike through the full Skinner’s Bluff Trail system it is 19 kilometres long. If you just want to check out the viewing platform you are able to beeline from the parking lot to the lookout spot in just 15 minutes.

Just note that there is rocky terrain and steep drops along the way!

According to Destination Ontario, “The best views are from the east and north sides of the escarpment overlooking the forest below and the shining waters and islands dotting Colpoy’s Bay, a scenic inlet of Georgian Bay.”

There really is no bad view of the bluffs below and the surrounding area though, so make sure to take it all in!

The drive is about 3 and a half hours from Toronto by car and parking is free. Time for a fall adventure with friends or family, Ontario.
