Simu Liu will host the JUNO awards in Toronto this spring

The JUNO Awards are returning in full force this year, and those in Toronto officially have an in-person event to look forward to. Not only that but Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has been confirmed as the JUNO Awards host, capping off a wildly successful couple of years for the Canadian actor.

The JUNO Awards celebrate the best of the best in the Canadian music industry. While this year’s event will be back to an in-person format, it will still be breaking ground as the first outdoor JUNO Awards. Taking place at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on May 15, hopeful fans will be able to snag tickets on March 4 at 10 am EST.

Simu Liu has seen a string of successes since starring in Canada’s own Kim’s Convenience. He’s since become Marvel’s newest star in Shang-Chi, and even nabbed a Saturday Night Live hosting gig in November.

As for the JUNO Awards themselves, nominations will begin rolling in on March 1, 2022.
