Sex and The City is coming back but without its Canadian star

If you thought 2021 wasn’t off to an eventful start, this news is about to prove you wrong. And that is, that Sex and The City will be returning! Yes, 17 years after the last episode aired, the hit show will be returning with a 10 episode series on HBO Max. But someone will be missing…

That someone is the British-born, BC-raised Kim Cattrall, otherwise known as the beloved Samantha. She will be sitting this new series out after making it quite clear over the past few years that she wants nothing to do with a reboot. And while we won’t be giving any spoilers, we’ll assume the creators will have the perfect way to remove Samantha from the show. But with that in mind, her character will be greatly missed.

That being said, we are excited to see what this new chapter in the other women’s lives will be. After all, we’re expecting lots of good drama and at least a few twists and turns. But we’ll all have to wait a while because production on the show is beginning this spring in New York. We have to say, this one will be hard to wait for.
