Summer is officially here, and with it comes the opening of the Seattle seasonal swim beaches. While a couple of pre-season beaches have already been operating, four more are opening this weekend.
According to the City of Seattle, as of Saturday, June 22nd, the Summer Season Lifeguarded Beaches will kick off at more locations, and will be open until September 2nd.

The 2024 Summer Season Lifeguarded Beaches include:
Madrona Beach: 853 Lake Washington Blvd (open May 25-August 25)
West Green Lake Beach: 7312 W Green Lake Dr (open May 25-September 2)
Matthews Beach: 9500 51st Ave. NE (opening June 22-September 2)
Madison Beach: 1900 43rd Ave. E. (opening June 22-September 2)
Mount Baker Beach: 2521 Lake Park Dr. S (opening June 22-September 2)
Pritchard Island Beach: 8400 55th Ave. S (opening June 22-August 25)
During the summer season, pools are open on weekdays from 12pm to 7pm, and on weekends & holidays from 11am to 7pm.
Of note, this year, the following locations are not operating: Magnuson Park Beach, East Green Lake Beach, Seward Park.
Additionally, the City is hiring for lifeguards, with wages starting at $24.98/hr. You can check out the openings here.
