Seattle is in the news again! And this time it’s for something pretty great, in fact, we’ve ranked in the top 50 best cities in the world according to Resonance. So let’s all give ourselves a pat on the back and a round of applause for the rainy city.
Resonance just recently rounded up their report of the world’s best cities which gives detailed analytics on all cities featured. And what made us stand out is our arts, culture, and culinary scene as well as our diversity. Not to mention, we’re doing pretty well when it comes to GDP. So it feels good to know that we’re doing well all things considered.
We ended up ranking 40th on the list, down 6 spots from ranking 34th last year.

But of course, our city’s ranking also has to do with some of the major local companies and corporations. So you can thank Amazon, Costco, Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks, and others for making our economy stand out. Not to mention, we rank top 20 globally for educated citizenry. But what was funniest about Seattle’s shout out is that the poor old West Seattle Bridge was mentioned, RIP.
