The Seattle Polar Bear Plunge has been taking place annually since 2003 and is returning for the first in person event since 2020 this January.

Swimmers who plunge themselves neck deep in the water will receive a 2023 Commemorative Badge of Courage. It’s great bragging rights to boast to your friends about.

Warming refreshments will be available while people wait for the plunge to kick off, and you’ll be able to find a variety of food trucks available, as well as games, a photo booth, music and a t-shirt/sweatshirt vendor.

You can learn more about the Seattle Polar bear Plunge by visiting the Seattle Parks Board website.
