For many years, Seattle was regarded as a place of creativity and the arts. After all, our city has shaped bands like Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate, Soundgarden, and many more. Not only that, but our city has been home to artists like Dale Chihuly, Jacob Lawrence, and Guy Anderson, among others. With all this in mind, it only makes sense that Seattle is considered one of the most artsy cities in America.
Lawn Love compared nearly 200 of the biggest US cities to rank 2022’s most artsy cities in America. In total, they used 22 metrics to determine the rankings. Some of those metrics included the number of art museums, galleries, and music venues to visit.” They also took into consideration the number of “art schools, opera houses, movie lover-friendliness” and more.
