You can go on a holiday-themed forest walk & meet Santa in Squamish next month

The winter season is officially upon us at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, which just released its lineup of holiday traditions and festive events for 2022. Visitors of all ages are invited to the Spirit of the Season, which features decorated forest walks, outdoor storytimes, new bites at the cozy Summit Lodge, and much more. Let’s dive right in.

Spirit of the Season

Throughout the month of December, guests can participate in the following festive activities:

  • Decorated Forest Walk: A family-friendly trail decked out with Scandinavian-style decor & festive details
  • Festive Holiday Lunches: A seasonal menu of locally inspired cuisine, warm drinks, and holiday treats will be available at the Summit Lodge ($49 per person), where diners can feast at 885 metres above Howe Sound.
  • Outdoor Storytime in Nature: Families can enjoy a magical holiday story every week amongst “nature’s winter wonderland” at the summit (free with lift ticket or pass).

In addition to the holiday events above, guests can take photos with Santa ($30 for one, $40 for two) at the Summit Lodge from 10 am to 2 pm on select days in December, and visit him at the Backyard Plaza on December 22nd and 24th from 10 to 10:30 am.

And of course, guests can additionally enjoy a slew of popular wintertime activities, such as snowshoeing, tubing, backcountry skiing, and strolls on the suspension bridge. Our suggestion? Book a spot for their special Sunset Snowshoe Tour ($19.95 per person) and enjoy all the wintery beauty at Twilight.

Oh, and annual passes are on sale for a special rate of $139 for adults or $299 per family until the end of December. So if you’re keen on experiencing more year-round activities, this is a great option.
