Spooky Calgary experience hopes to break a world record & it’s giving out FREE Halloween costumes

Spooky season is nearly here and in 2023 the early bird will get the worm… and a free costume!

This year, ScreamFest Calgary will attempt to break the World Record for most people in one place dressed as horror villain Jason Voorhees and, to do so, they’ve got something extra special in store for guests.

According to their social media, the first 1,000 people to attend the event on Friday, October 13th (of course), will be given a complimentary mask and plastic machete, all in hopes of taking the title – and putting Calgary’s biggest Halloween event on the map internationally.

Ghouls will also be encouraged to check out their ‘Screaming Room’ which will be showing indie horror and sci-fi films AND their ‘Area 51 Monster Truck Ride,’ which they describe as offering “thrilling bumps and donuts in the dark.’

Tickets are on sale now and start at $30 though, anyone who uses code SCREAMINGSOON10 at checkout will get 10% off at checkout.

It’s going to be another great year, Calgary so check it out – and maybe we’ll see you there! You won’t regret it…. until you try to sleep at night.
