Scenic strolls and beach day adventures! Make your way to the ‘prettiest town in Canada’, the charming Goderich. It has a scenic boardwalk trail that connects to various beaches and it’s a sight to see.
About a three-hour drive from Toronto is Goderich, Ontario. This small coastal town is situated on bluffs with a gorgeous view of Lake Huron.
Though there’s lots to do there, take a stroll along its boardwalk trail – a 1.5 km long trek along the waterfront.

This boardwalk connects three almost turquoise-blue beaches and has an ice cream pit stop at the end of it.
The pathway is over 10 feet wide and offers front-row views of the beautiful “must-see” beaches along Lake Huron.
According to Destination Ontario, the town’s Main Beach, St. Christopher’s Beach, and Rotary Cove Beach, are lined with playgrounds, fitness equipment, washrooms, and a spot for food and drinks. All are accessible thanks to the scenic boardwalk.
Along the way, you will pass by the historic Beach Street Station restaurant, the beach hut, and the cove with delicious eats.
You can also enjoy the iconic sunsets from all the beaches or any of the 13 viewpoint parks at the top of the bluff.
Summer weekends are all about those day trips to the beach, and at the Goderich boardwalk trail, you can hit up several at once!
