Within a sugar maple forest, surrounded by “The Bluffs”, is Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area. If you’re looking for a fall day adventure, this Ontario park is the place to be.
About three hours northeast of Toronto is Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area, located in Paisley, Ontario.
According to Saugeen Conservation, for the best fall views, the park has a recreational trail system that features a lookout over the scenic Saugeen River.
They have over 12 km of both recreational hiking and equine trails which are under a “use at your own risk” policy.

You can reach the Bluffs lookout by following a trail at the north end of Main Street and past a small pond. There will be a set of wooden stairs to the lookout.
Besides the bluffs, Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area has about 200 camping sites for both tent and trailer users.
“This park features a store, showers, a laundromat, two playgrounds, wading pool, pay phone, small visitor centre, two picnic pavilions, canoe rentals, and much more,” per Saugeen Conservation.
To access the park, visitors are subjected to day-use fees and/or daily parking fees, starting at $5. For the full list of fees, click here.
If you’d love to check out the bluffs, you only have a few weeks left. They will be closed after the Thanksgiving weekend.
Make sure to plan your weekend trip accordingly!
