There’s a new wellness spa north of Edmonton that’s all about Métis hospitality.
The new Sage and Spruce Indigenous Spa is located at Métis Crossing. Rooted in Métis tradition, this is a place to rest, relax, and reconnect. With room for massages, space in the sauna, and a cold plunge awaiting your arrival, this new spa offers the utmost tranquil vibes.
It just opened within the past month, and developments will be continuing on in phases as the spa continues to grow.
This spa and wellness site truly has so much to offer, all nestled just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the city.
Here, you can find the fire and ice wellness experience. The pairing of traditional sauna heat and invigorating cold plunge therapy will wake your body right up. It combines Nordic and Indigenous traditions for the best experience. The private building provides a unique space for up to four people.
As part of the spa’s evolving vision, guests can expect future developments. These will come in the form of a dedicated yoga platform, as well as water features in each loop of the Infinity Pathway. The goal is to turn the outdoor spa grounds into a sanctuary of movement, reflection, and sensory immersion.
While admission is free into Métis Crossing, pricing has not been released fully for this spa experience. For those looking to book, the organization suggests inquiring on its website.
If you’re looking to stay overnight, Métis Crossing has an extensive number of rooms at its lodge as well as camping spots. Or, if you want to immerse yourself in the wilderness even more, there’s the Sky Watching Domes. With a translucent ceiling, this offers a luxurious dwelling while still being able to sleep under the stars.
Interested in a wellness getaway with yourself or a loved one? This new spa is one to check out. Take a dip and immerse yourself in nature this spring!
Address: 17339 Victoria Trl., Smoky Lake, Alta.
