Mississauga is getting a celebration of Indigenous culture & it’s free

The Riverwood Indigenous Social, Jingtamok is coming back this weekend in Mississauga and all are welcome to join in celebrating the culture.

This free event is available to all ages! On September 24, experience this cultural gathering through drumming, dancing, singing, teachings, crafts, and so much more.

According to The Riverwood Conservancy, “Jingtamok supports Indigenous communities’ access to and celebration of the land, builds openhearted relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, and supports the goals of truth and reconciliation by recognizing the contributions Indigenous peoples have made to the heritage of the region.”
