This Ontario park has a 100-metre high bluff with stunning views

Just three and a half hours from Toronto is a spot known for having some of the best views! Restoule Provincial Park is in the Parry Sound District of Ontario, an area that boasts maple forests, river views and a bluff you can hike up to see it all.

Getting to Restoule Provincial Park

If you’re travelling by car from Toronto it’ll take around three and a half hours to get to the park.

It’s located between Restoule Lake and Stormy Lake, extending along the banks of the Restoule River.

There is a fee to enter once you arrive at Restoule Provincial Park, starting at $12.25 per vehicle.

From there, park and get ready to pick your outdoor adventure.

What to do

Start your day at the park by hiking the bluff on the Fire Tower Trail. The trail weaves through beautiful mature forests, travelling across boardwalks and rugged rocky ridges.

It has a bit of a challenging climb toward the end of the trail but it’s totally worth it for the view from atop the 100-meter-high Stormy Lake Bluff.

There are five other trails to check out too. If hiking on an incline isn’t for you, there’s a linear trail called The Gibs Trail which travels “through large mature beech and mixed hardwood forests ending at a scenic lookout and swim spot on the shore of Stormy Lake.”

Head to the park during the fall and experience the changing colours – trust us!
