This Queen Anne home is a mid century mash up & has sweeping views of Puget Sound

Before there was the overgrowth of the “modern” Seattle box home, there were homes that told the story of time. Yes, heritage homes in a sense but also homes where you could see exactly when and what had been done to keep up with the times. Well luckily for all of us, those homes aren’t entirely gone, in fact, one of them just hit the market on Queen Anne.

This home has over 2,800 square feet of space and sits on 0.17 acres. The home itself is open and sprawling while remaining compact on its lot. Inside you’ll find three bedrooms and one full bathroom, outside a mostly gravel space with plenty of opportunities to be reimagined. Psst, the home also has sweeping views of Puget Sound.

Specs aside, what makes this house so unique is its mish-mash of details. Originally built in 1922, you’ll find heritage details like a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by Batchelder tile, coved ceilings, and tiger-striped oak hardwood floors. That being said, as the home was updated at some point during the mid-century craze, you’ll find the original floor plan broken up into something much more open and modern.

Besides the liveable space, the home also has an unfurnished basement which could be used as a workspace or storage. All in all, this home seems like the perfect spot for someone who has extra cash to reimagine. It’s currently on the market for $1.2 million and you can see more of it at the Sotheby’s website.
