Your guide to Pride Month events happening in and around Edmonton

Pride Month is almost upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate.

Although the official Edmonton Pride Parade won’t be happening until August, there are still loads of events to get into the spirit of the season. Whether it’s checking out some unique historical pride archives at the Strathcona Museum or queening out with some drag queens over the weekend, it’s all going to be a party.

So, without further ado, let’s get into all the ways you can really surround yourself with the community.

Edmonton Drag Festival

Although this technically isn’t in June, I’m going to make it count for this list. You might be asking why? Because pride would absolutely not be the same without drag artists.

The Edmonton Drag Festival is on its way, slated to take over downtown Edmonton from May 29 to 31. These three days will be filled with extravagant drag activities, some of which will feature huge Drag Race names like Brooke Lynn Hytes, the host of Canada’s Drag Race.

When: Friday, May 29, 2026, to Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alta.

This all-ages market is perfect for anyone looking for an evening getaway full of community vendors and food trucks. There will be over 85 vendors, artists, and local brewers, as well as food trucks. This one is dedicated to the sapphics, as Sapphic Avenue is hosting a pool party for Pride.
