Pride 2022: All the amazing things you can do in Vancouver during the long weekend

After three years, Vancouver Pride is finally back in full swing with an aptly-themed festival, “Together Again” – which is slated to be bigger and better than ever before.

The importance of 2SLGBTQAI+ communities taking up space and gathering in person for the first time since 2019 cannot be overstated. Community-focused events like Vancouver’s Pride Parade and the Sunset Beach Festival create this space and invite everyone to the party! So, let’s get into it.

While the official festival will take place from July 21st to August 1st, the upcoming long weekend deserves its own shout-out as the culmination of this year’s Pride fest.

Below are all the events slated for the Pride long weekend:

Friday, July 29th

• Aces & Aros X Rainbow Lounge (snacks and performances on Granville Island)
• Afroqueer & LevelUp x Vizzy Forest Lounge (lounge-style entertainment in Davie Village)
• Pride Neighbourhood Patio at Bentall
• Posh Ball 2022 (portside party at the Fairmont)

Saturday, July 30th

• Terry Wallace Memorial Breakfast
• Comedy Here Often x Rainbow Lounge
• Virago Nation x Vizzy Forest Lounge (drag and burlesque shows celebrating de-colonial pride)
• QFactor x Pride Neighbourhood Patio at Bentall Centre (free singing competition)
