From concerts to archery: Here’s everything coming to the PNE Fair in Vancouver this year

With Playland now officially open for the season, it’s only a matter of time before the PNE Fair delights amusement park-goers across Vancouver with its lineup of tasty food, summer night concerts, and thrilling rides. So if you’re looking to make some late-summer plans, let’s dive into all that’s coming to this year’s PNE Fair!

Returning faves include the SuperDogs, For the Love of Drag, Dueling Pianos, cooking demos, agriculture displays, and Music in the Park performances, which will feature the following artists this year:

August 18: Nick Gilder & Sweeney Todd
August 20: Tanner Olsen Band
August 21: CHOIR! CHOIR! CHOIR!
August 22: Whitehorse
August 23: Queer As Funk
August 24: Eagle Eyes: Eagles Tribute
August 25: Bobby Bruce’s Nearly Neil & The Solitary Band: 30th Anniversary
August 27: Tim & The Glory Boys
August 28: Side One
August 29: Julio Avila Cuban Band
August 30: Trilojay with Tiffany Rivera and Marie Hui
August 31: ABRA Cadabra – A Tribute to the Music of ABBA
September 1: Tyler Shaw
September 2: R&B Allstars: The Last Dance Tour

Giant prizes await visitors at the midway games, and there are plenty of rides to discover at Playland this season, including an all-new Thundervolt electric coaster.

Finally, animal lovers can check out the PNE’s ‘Farm Country,’ where you’ll find the “biggest of the big, the smallest of the small.”

This includes daily pig races, pony rides, barn tours, archery demos, and magic shows at the following times:

Pig Races: Daily at 12pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 6:30pm
Magic Show: Daily at 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm
Pony Rides: (Aug 20-Sept 2) 11 am to 8 pm
Archery: (Aug 20-Sept 2) 11 am to 10 pm
Barn Tours: Daily at 12:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm

Tickets & info

The 2024 PNE Fair will run from 11 am to 11 pm from August 17th to September 2nd, with the exception of August 19th and 26th.

Fair gate passes are priced at $25 per adult, $16 for youth and seniors, and $12 for children aged 4 to 12.

Fair-goers can save $5 on adult passes and $2 on Youth, Child, and Senior passes if purchased in advance.

Season passes are currently priced at $65 per person, which includes access to all the PNE’s annual attractions and rides.
