Vancouver’s PNE is hiring for over 1,000 jobs for this year’s summer fair

Looking for some fun summer jobs to apply for in Vancouver? The PNE is currently hiring a mix of seasonal, part-time, and full-time roles, and among them are 1,000 jobs at this year’s PNE Fair!

According to PNE’s website, seasonal PNE Fair jobs are open to anyone aged 15, 16, and 19 and older by August 1st, 2024 – depending on the department you apply for.

For example, Guest Experience Attendants, Catering Prep Cooks, and Game Attendants must be aged 15 years old, whereas Bartenders, Onsite Lottery Vendors, and Day and Night Sweepers must be aged 19 and older.

The perks? PNE employees get to enjoy free access to the Fair, discounts on passes, and deals at all PNE food stands!

There will also be gift card rewards available all season long, in addition to growth opportunities.

Note that base wages start at $18.27 per hour.

Application requirements

All seasonal workers must be available to work for the entire duration of the PNE Fair, which is from August 17th to September 2nd.

Depending on department and position, training and orientation take place over the course of the first two weeks of August.

Note that successful applicants must be available to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week), including on weekends, evenings, and late nights. Shifts will be available between 8 am and midnight every day that the Fair runs.

Ready to apply? Those interested can submit their applications online until Sunday, June 9th, or until positions have been filled.

According to the PNE, successful applicants will receive interview invitations in late June, with virtual group interviews taking place on July 3rd, 4th, and 6th.

During the interview process, candidates will be able to choose their preferred summer Fair jobs.
