The PGA Championship of Canada will take place in Alberta this year

Spring may not have sprung yet, but it will be the best season for golf lovers by par.

This June, the PGA Championship of Canada will take place just outside Calgary and 2024 will be one to watch!

Set to kick off in June, this year’s prestigious competition will rule the Mickelson National Golf Club, a venue ‘committed to excellence’ designed by six-time major champion Phil Mickelson.

Once again, the tournament will be a 54-hole stroke play event, with a practice round before things officially begin on Sunday the 9th.

“The PGA Championship of Canada has historically brought the best-of-the-best together at some of the nation’s top championship courses, and, with today’s announcement, it is no question 2024 will continue that trend,” said PGA of Canada CEO Kevin Thistle.

“Barry Ehlert, Miles Mortensen and the entire Mickelson National Golf Club staff have welcomed us with open arms; we cannot wait to kick off our championship season in Calgary.”

For those unaware, the PGA Championship of Canada was first played in 1912 and is considered one of the oldest professional golf tournaments in the entire world.

From Arnold Palmer and Moe Norman to Ray Floyd and Steve Stricker, this grand gathering is where legends are made, so don’t miss it!

“This event represents a convergence of excellence in golf and a celebration of the association’s rich heritage. We look forward to welcoming the nation’s top golfers and providing an exceptional experience for the players.”
