The 2024 Paris Olympics need volunteers & Canadians can apply to attend the games for FREE

Do you dream of spending your summer in France? If you’re also a sports fan looking for your next big adventure the opportunity of a lifetime may have just presented itself!

The City of Love is looking for volunteers for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics and they’re accepting Canadian applications, but you’ve only got until May 3rd, 2023 to apply.

“Being a volunteer for the Paris 2024 Games is the opportunity of a lifetime: to become the face of the Games and to experience from the inside the first Summer Games organized in France in a century, ” they write on their website.

“Volunteers are the first people that athletes and spectators meet when they arrive at the Games. Paris 2024 volunteers will embody France’s sense of hospitality and values throughout the Games.”

From supporting the athletes to guiding spectators to their seats, the folks behind the world’s biggest and best sporting competition are looking for people who fit the following description to fill a variety of important roles next July.

  • Are at least 18 years old on January 1st, 2024
  • Can speak French and/or English
  • Are available for at least 10 days between the opening of the Athletes’ Village and two days after the closing of the Paralympic Games

Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that you’re application will be chosen, but there’s no harm in trying!

Please note, however, that these are, in fact, VOLUNTEER positions, so it does not come with a pay cheque or accommodations – but it does come with experience and memories.
