September has begun, which means Labour Day weekend is coming up fast in Edmonton.
According to the Government of Alberta and the Government of Canada, Labour Day is a statutory holiday across Canada dedicated to Canadian workers who helped lay the foundation for this nation. This holiday is typically celebrated on the first Monday of September, meaning Labour Day will be coming up this Monday, Sept. 7.
Don’t worry; we’ve done our duty of rounding up what’s open and closed in Edmonton this upcoming holiday so you won’t have to go searching yourself.
If you’re looking to make the most of your days off, the Foundation Series festival is coming up, and Edmonton’s year-round farmers market is stationing itself in Old Strathcona like always.
There’s going to be loads of options for festivals and activities, so get ready for an exciting Labour Day weekend.
