These Ontario ski hills are opening for the season with some as soon as this weekend

Ready to hit the snowy hill tops? Ontario’s ski hills are getting ready to welcome eager skiers, and some have even announced opening dates. Get your gear ready because the slopes are opening up as early as this weekend!

Ontario’s popular ski resorts, including Blue Mountain, Horseshoe Resort, Lakeridge Ski Resort, and more, have announced their plans for the 2025-26 season, and opening day is sooner than you think!

Here are a few ski hills in Ontario that have shared their opening dates:

Blue Mountain

Get ready because Blue Mountain ski hills open for the season next week!

“Fresh lines. First tracks. That rush of kicking off a brand new ski and snowboard season,” shares the resort on Instagram. “This is where winter drops in, and you’re gonna want to make the most of it!”

Where: 190 Gord Canning Dr. – Blue Mountains, Ont.

Horseshoe Resort

Horseshoe Resort will open its doors to the public a little bit early this year, on Dec. 5, 2025. Last year, they added over 100 new snowmaking guns to the resort’s existing infrastructure, so we are ready to hit the slopes this year.

Lakeridge Ski Resort

The slopes are calling your name! The season starts on Dec. 5, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at Lakeridge Ski Resort. It currently has a special four-hour lift ticket price promo for those ages 6 and up for $50.60 plus tax.

Loch Lomond

Get ready for Loch Lomond’s ski season! Its projected opening is Dec. 13, 2025.

Mount St. Louis Moonstone

Gear up for an epic ski season! Mount St. Louis Moonstone opens on Dec. 5, 2025, with six lifts, two magic carpets, 11 slopes, and more.

The mountain terrain will be open for all levels, from novice to advanced. Tickets are available for $65 plus tax.

Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride

You can now book your half-day, full-day, and ski packages for Dec. 13, 2025. Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride is getting ready for the season!

It’s home to 12 groomed runs suitable for all ages and abilities, and offers breathtaking views from the hilltop. Get some warmth inside its cozy chalet — it’s worth the winter adventure.
