One-bedroom apartments in Toronto you can rent for under $1,500 right now

New month, new home? Across the city, many residents look to move around the first day or week of each month. And for those looking to rent a new place in Toronto, the average rental price for a one-bedroom is hovering around $2,040 a month.

But sometimes, listings pop up for places that are renting way below the average cost in the city.

Last month, a map provided by Rentals.ca showed the average price per Toronto neighbourhood, with a colour-coded scale to indicate which areas are cheapest and which are most expensive.

Cabbagetown South-St. James Town has the cheapest rent at $1,722 per month on average, followed by South Parkdale at $1,772, Wychwood at $1,780 and University at $1,902.
