Blooms & Paws: A pet friendly sunflower festival is happening in Washington next month

Get ready to be enchanted by blooms because O’Keefe Farms is hosting its 4th Annual Sunflower Festival! The Washington farm has been in the agricultural business since 1882, meaning it’s a real local gem. You can enjoy fields of flowers for three weekends this August, and here’s what else you’ll find at the festival.

The O’Keefe Farms Sunflower Festival has not only flower fields but also food trucks, drinks, live music, and even a vendor market.

Here’s a look at everything that comes with your admission!

It includes two U-cut flowers as well as unlimited time to stroll and enjoy the magic of the sunflower fields. That means you’ll have all the time you could possibly need to snap the perfect picture.

If you start feeling peckish, you can purchase eats from Mr. C’s BBQ and Street Taco David. The Chillz Shaved Ice truck will also be there, and Main Event Restaurant will serve beer and wine daily.

There will also be craft vendors and live music daily. Here’s a look at the music lineup for this year’s festival:

Friday, August 4th & Friday, August 18th: Mark Leedy & the Lewis River Blues Band 6 PM-9 PM
Saturday, August 5th: Trey Stix & 3nine Band 4 PM-7 PM
Sunday, August 6th: Kiley Jeanne 4 PM-7 PM
Friday, August 11th, Sunday, August 13th & Sunday, August 20th: Kirby Swatosh & the Moon Rock Patrol 6 PM-9 PM
Friday, August 12th & Friday, August 19th: CCR tribute band Fortunate Son 4 PM-7 PM

It’s worth noting that this year’s festival is pet-friendly to well-behaved pets and owners must clean up and discard any mess made by their furry friends. Additionally, photographers are allowed with admission but if you would like photos at a different time, appointments are required outside of festival hours.

Enjoy!
