All aboard: There’s a Christmas-themed train ride to ‘The North Pole’ in BC

Always wanted to ride on the train from The Polar Express as a child? The Railway Museum of BC is bringing back its popular North Pole Express just in time for the holiday season, and you won’t want to miss it.

The family-friendly holiday event takes passengers on an entertaining journey from the museum’s Polar Express Station to its very own ‘North Pole.’ Here, passengers can deliver much-needed wrapping paper to Marshall P. Bear – the Polar Bear in charge of Santa’s workshop.

In addition to whimsical characters, warm cookies and cocoa, and other child-friendly activities, passengers will be able to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus for a family photo shoot to tie the whole experience together.

The North Pole Express will take place aboard the museum’s 1950s vintage FP9A passenger locomotives, which contain restored coaches and a historic Canadian Pacific ‘Alberta’ Business Car with an open observation platform at the end of the train.
