If you love working out at the YMCA like I do, then it’s time to get excited. The Waterworks building, located on Richmond in downtown Toronto, will soon be home to a whopping 48,000-square-foot YMCA.
Mark your calendar for July 15, when the new space opens to the public.
“The McDonald Family YMCA is the 12th YMCA Centre of Community in the Greater Toronto Area. It will offer thousands of residents and families in the King West neighbourhood a vibrant space designed to promote well-being, foster connections, and support personal growth,” shares the YMCA.

Plus, there are benefits to getting a membership early. “Founding Members” will have the $85 joining fee waived, receive a special gift, have access to all 12 YMCA health and fitness centres, and get “preferred scheduling for personal training sessions.” Well worth signing up early!
