Well, with spring in the air (and spring break right around the corner) the provincial government has decided to allow outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people across BC. The news comes via a press conference delivered by Dr. Bonnie Henry on Thursday afternoon. Here’s a little more info.
During the press conference, Dr. Henry said that ongoing vaccinations, the lower rate of transmissibility due to warmer weather, and a need for social connection (fair) was responsible for the decision. Now, it’s cool to meet up with friends at a beach, or hang out for a backyard BBQ. Regular stuff, basically.

However, Dr. Henry also stressed the need to follow other health restrictions. So, indoor gatherings are still a no go, and all restaurant/retail restrictions are still in place. With St. Patty’s Day and Spring Break right around the corner, we’re thinking that the province is trying to meet BC residents in the middle with restrictions.
