You can enjoy a candlelit concert for Winter Solstice in Vancouver next month

Get ready for a magical concert experience, Vancouver. Music on Main is returning to Heritage Hall this December with a special concert ahead of Winter Solstice 2022. And while the concert doesn’t technically fall on the astronomical first day of winter, it’s definitely bringing all of the warm, candlelit vibes we need to pretend that it is. If you’re looking for a cute date night idea or event to mark a special occasion, this is it!

This year’s concert falls on Wednesday, December 14th and Thursday, December 15th and features four talented musicians: Rachel Kiyo Iwaasa on the piano, Robyn Jacob’s vocals and on the keyboard, Asitha Tennekoon singing tenor, and Jonathan Lo on the cello.

Guests can expect to experience traditional Solstice faves like Caroline Shaw’s “Winter Carol” and the Wyrd Sisters’ “Solstice Carole,” as well as art-pop songs – including melodies by Robyn Jacob, J.S. Bach for solo cello, and Alfredo Santa Ana.

This annual tradition typically sells out every year, so be sure to snag some tickets for $49 a pop (or $18 for students and arts workers) while you can!
