Feeling funky? A brand new hotel just opened in the heart of everyone’s favourite Alberta mountain town.
A “one-of-a-kind experience,” Moxy Banff, is officially open to the public and is meant to appeal to playful visitors who love design, cocktails, and making memories.
Located on Banff Avenue, this retro-style destination was originally built in 1964 but has since been renovated to kick off a new era spearheaded by owners, Marriott Bonvoy and Canalta Hotels.
As the site of the town’s first commercial motor hotel, this building is iconic and in celebration of this, Moxy Banff pays homage to its history.
Featuring expansive rundle stone walls and mid-century furniture, guests are encouraged to spend the night in one of the 109 rooms, each designed with an old-school vibe.
What’s more, rooms are unique, providing guests with everything they want and nothing they don’t.
From toe-to-toe beds and double bunks to kitchenettes and lock-off suites that combine two rooms, visitors are sure to find the perfect fit, but that’s hardly the best part.
Not only does this space have a year-round heated courtyard, a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, and two hot tubs, as well as a selection of food and beverage options, but each adventure-seeker will get a FREE drink when they first arrive.
“Redeveloping this property has allowed us to invest in Alberta and specifically into the Town of Banff,” said Brooke Christianson, VP, Canalta Hotels.
“Our team is proud to have worked with talented Albertans, creating new economic opportunities for our province and groovy experiences for guests.”
