That’s right, baby! After a successful kickoff to summer 2021 in Calgary, Motor Nights is gearing up to launch in Edmonton for the first time ever! As the world opens back up, it’s no secret that the summer of 2021 is shaping up to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. As we approach a new normal, it’s important to emphasize that you can still have a great time as a community while social distancing. After all, summer is the season for making memories, and we can’t wait to make some new ones in a brand new city!
Curiocity, in partnership with Canada Food Trucks, is beyond excited to introduce Motor Nights: A Series of Drive-In Events to Edmonton. From blockbuster hits to cult classics, Motor Nights will be bringing YEG everything they could want in a night at the movies- nostalgia, excitement, and a sense of community at a time when we could use it the most.
Speaking of community, Motor Nights will be selecting a local charity to receive a portion of the proceeds from each of our weekends. For our debut Edmonton weekend, Motor Nights has chosen to donate a portion of the proceeds to Kids Kottage, Edmonton’s first and only crisis prevention center. Kids Kottage keeps children and infants safe, while filling the gaps in a family’s support system, and for that- we can’t thank them enough!
For one weekend only, Edmontonians will have the chance to have an unforgettable night at the drive-in. From Thursday, June 17th through Sunday, June 20th, Motor Nights will be showing 2 movies a night for a total of 8 movies. Now, let’s see what’s playing!
Our Motor Nights Edmonton + Area location is situated at the Beaumont & District AG Society, featuring unobstructed views for each car along with beautiful skies. So with the wide expanse of starry skies as our backdrop, Motor Nights’ opening weekend in Edmonton will be one to remember! Tickets for each Motor Nights drive-in showing are $55 per car and will be available for purchase Thursday, June 10th at 10:00 AM MST.
With Motor Nights’ bigger and better LED screen, our movies can be clearly watched day or night, and in any sort of weather- rain or shine, or even snow!
Local food trucks will be on-site each night so that guests can be treated to both a Food Truck Drive-Thru upon entry, and car-side delivery throughout the movie. For information on the food truck lineup and menus, keep an eye on our Instagram!
