2023 has come and gone, but not everything will be left in the rearview mirror!
Alberta has revealed that an incredible 47,263 births were registered last year and even shared which names were the most popular among them!
“Congratulations to those who welcomed a new addition to their family,” said Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction.
“Bringing a child into the world is a truly momentous occasion. Whether the name you chose was in the top 10 or one of a kind, these names are only the beginning of the endless possibilities that lie ahead for each child. I look forward to supporting this generation by ensuring Alberta remains a place where they can thrive.”
Want to know if your moniker made the list?
If your name is Noah and Olivia, the answer is yes, but this should come as no surprise!
For the last 5 and 11 years respectively, these names have been at the top of their list, but it looks like parents were also pretty inspired by the Earth, pop culture, and religious text.
According to the Government, Ivy, Rose, Juniper, Eve, Noah, Mohammed, Gabriel, Wren, River, Meadow Flora, Jasmine, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Lennon, Presley and Hendrix were among the names that moved up in 2023, but who made the top 10?
