From Mount Robson to Green Gables: Here are Canada’s ‘most loved’ landmarks

Canada might be a relatively young country compared to the rest of the world, but there are still plenty of historic sites, monuments, national parks, and landmarks to uncover, many of which were around long before the country’s inception. This includes famous lakes and breathtaking mountains listed by a new study revealing the most loved landmarks in Canada.

Looking at both natural and man-made landmarks across Canada and the U.S., entertainment site OntarioCasinos analyzed Google reviews for over 50 popular landmark destinations. The top 10 spots were ranked based on the percentage of visitors who used words like “breathtaking” and “wow” in their reviews.

According to the ranking, the ‘most breathtaking’ landmark in Canada is none other than Lake Louise at Alberta’s Banff National Park, with a quarter of reviewers using the the word to describe their experience.

The second ‘most loved’ landmark on the list is Mount Robson in BC, AKA the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Surrounded by stunning forest trails and bright blue lakes, 21% of its reviews specifically mention how beautiful the provincial park is.
