Ready for another iconic block party, Vancouver? The independent record label Monstercat is back with the fifth annual instalment of Monstercat Compound, a free, all-ages block party celebrating the best artists on the label and beyond.
On Saturday, August 20th, expect a ton of free festivities at Monstercat HQ. Live electronic music on two stages featuring local faves and talented new faces. Delicious eats from an array of on-site food trucks (all dietary needs accommodated). Plus, a ton of fun activities and games at their dedicated Gaming Zone. Pick up a controller and set all the new high scores!
There will also be two fully stocked bars where guests can grab a couple of Red Bulls, brews, spirits, and other non-alcoholic bevies.

A day filled with electronic music, food, games, and music tech is a day well spent, if you ask us. The event is completely free to attend, thanks to the support of sponsors including Absolut Vodka, Redbull, Sapporo, CreativeBC and MusicBC.
“We’ve seen an explosion in creativity across the Vancouver arts scene recently, so what better way to celebrate that community than with a free block party showcasing local music, art, food, and more,” says Monstercat’s Head of Events, Max Nied.

Now, for the lineup. This year’s block party will include some of electronic music’s most promising artists – and many of them are local! Folks can expect headliners like Vancouver Island DJ and producer, WHIPPED CREAM, Vancouver-born downtempo producer Sol Rising, and French bass house producer Dustycloud.
If you want to mix things up after seeing the performances on the Main Stage, there are also some pretty sick underground sounds at the Westwood Stage.
