This BC park has a sandy beach with tide pools and a viewing platform

Whether it’s a camping trip you’re after or a quick day trip over the long weekend, Miracle Beach Park in British Columbia has it all. Hundreds of reservable and walk-in campsites, beautiful sandy beaches, and plenty of amenities for the whole family to enjoy.

Visitors can take advantage of ample fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and cycling opportunities, as well as wildlife viewing at the nearby Black Creek.

And if you love exploring the shoreline during low tide, you’ll discover beautiful tide pools with plenty of marine life to observe.

The beach itself permits dogs on leashes, and children can enjoy a full playground once they’ve had their fill of swimming.

In terms of amenities, visitors can access clean drinking water through cold water taps throughout the campground, hot showers, a sani station, campfires (firewood available for purchase), pit or flush toilets, and designated picnic areas.

The best spot for swimming is situated at the south beach day-use area, where the sand is soft and crystal blue waters beckon you in.

And if you’d rather enjoy the views from a scenic height, there’s a viewing platform located near the park entrance that allows visitors to view the spawning salmon at Black Creek, particularly in the spring and fall.

Nearby the park, you’ll find opportunities for horseback riding and golf – if you want to extend your visit with even more fun.

The park is located 22 kilometres north of Courtenay and south of Campbell River off Highway 19a.

So, there you have it, Vancouver. Enjoy the beach!
