Oilers goalie Mike Smith let in one of the longest NHL playoff goals ever (VIDEO)

Well hockey fans, the Battle of Alberta continues to be, at the very least, exciting for both teams. In Tuesday nights’s victory, Oilers goalie Mike Smith let in one of the longest NHL playoff goals ever. What’s more- it came at a crucial time in the game. Here’s a quick recap of what happened.

Following a relatively low-scoring first two periods, the Oilers were up 3-2 against the Flames in the third. With the Oilers on the powerplay, Calgary defenceman Rasmus Andersson got a hold of a loose puck and fired a slapshot towards the Edmonton net. The shot, which came from 132 feet away, caught Oilers goalie Mike Smith off-guard, and resulted in the tying goal for the Flames.
