Western Canada’s largest pickleball and tennis facility just opened in Calgary

Get ready, pickleball players of Calgary: a huge new facility has opened its doors in our city, and we went to see what it’s all about!

So grab your paddle and dive into the newest spot to play some pickleball in YYC.

Mega Courts, located at 5160 68 Ave. SE opened its doors to players last month, and it is being touted as the largest facility in Western Canada for pickleball and tennis, with BIG courts up for grabs.

Due to pickleball generating a high-pitched sound, the building is insulated with the proper sound barriers integrated into the design of the space. No sound distractions here!

The facility offers up 13 pickleball courts — larger than standard regulation size — four tennis courts for all skill levels, a cozy cafe, onsite coaching and clinics, event space, and more.

A big uptick is on the way for pickleball in Alberta. Just last year, it was announced that another pickleball chain was eyeing up to 20 locations in the province over the coming years.
