Let’s start with the waterfront you won’t want to miss out on seeing. According to South Georgian Bay Tourism, “The Meaford waterfront is one of the area’s most stunning and active spots.”

The waterfront has plenty to see other than the beautiful shores.

Along the way, you’ll see newly renovated public washrooms, a splash pad, a seasonal farmers market, multiple beaches, volleyball courts, the Meaford Museum and playgrounds.

The waterfront is also the starting point for two multi-use trails, the Georgian Trail and the Tom Thomson Trail.

The Georgian Trail follows the former rail line to Collingwood and the Tom Thomson Trail winds from Fred Raper Park to the City of Owen Sound.

Moving away from the waterfront and the downtown core, you’ll find acres of rolling countryside! Talk about having a little bit of everything.

You’ll find various farms in the countryside, including apple-picking spots.

Grandma Lambes is one of Meaford, Ontario’s most well-known apple orchards spanning 10 acres. Not only can you pick apples here, but there are also fresh homemade apple pies on sight for guests to purchase.

Meaford is described as a four-season town and now we can see why! From waterfront views to fun in the countryside, be sure to add this Ontario gem to your list of must-visits.
