B.C. film studio to transform into a magical holiday town straight out of a Christmas movie

Langley’s Martini Film Studios is known for its world-class production and prime West Coast location, and once a year, it opens its backlot to the public for a magical holiday experience like no other. The outdoor film set transforms into Merry & Bright at Martini Town, an enchanting holiday town straight out of a Hallmark movie. This year will be no exception!

Holiday movie nostalgia

The transformed town has everything you need to feel the holiday magic: nostalgic window displays, festive lights, carolling, nightly visits from Santa, and sweet treats galore. Plus, a portion of all proceeds from the experience will be donated to the Langley Food Bank.

“Opening our backlot to the public allows those who cherish the holidays to step right onto their own film set, creating and capturing Christmas movie-quality memories,” says Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios. “Only once a year, we invite guests to explore an imaginary town centre designed, built and decorated by B.C.’s talented film crews.”

Reminiscent of the department store era, window boxes will be updated and enhanced each year, displaying festive nods to the season and hidden treasures embedded into the holiday-themed scenes.

A flurry of film-style “snow” will rain down on guests, making for the perfect family photo.

The event is entirely outdoors, though the “Town Square” will have a large, clear-roofed tent to ensure guests stay as cozy (and dry) as they can.

Visitors of Martini Town also have the chance to find unique holiday gifts at The Market Lane, which is located under an enclosed tent. Here, you’ll find a mix of local artisans, some of whom will rotate weekly.

Festive bites, sips, and performances

Martini Café will be back with delicious seasonal beverages and returning food trucks like Texas Smoke BBQ, Mini Donuts, Urban Wood Fired Pizza and Tacosaurus.

This year, you can expect to see two new pop-up shops: Fort Langley’s Bar Down Bakery and Sticky’s Candy, which will have imported candies and rare sweets in addition to its iconic fudge.

Victorian carolers will bring even more holiday fun, and a vintage vocal troupe called The Dimes will perform alongside a lineup of talented local musicians.

Also new this year are roaming characters, including “The Green Christmas Grouch” and “The Ice Princess.”

When does Martini Town open for the season?

Visitors can officially stroll through Martini Town (the backlot of Martini Film Studios) from Friday, Nov. 21, to Dec. 31, 2025. After Sunday, Nov. 23, the experience will run Wednesdays through Sundays between Nov. 26 and 30, and Dec. 3 to 14, 2025.
