Here’s how to get free admission for kids at BC’s SkyWalk this month

Great news for adventure-seekers and height-lovers. BC’s Malahat Skywalk is celebrating the upcoming season with special spring break tickets, which offer free admission to children 17 years and under.

Spring attractions

From March 9th to April 1st, visitors can enjoy BBQ from 11 am to 3 pm, soft-serve from Softy’s (with themed treats for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter), and live music every Saturday.

“We are excited to welcome families to connect with nature and experience the best of Vancouver Island with us,” says Nathan Bird, General Manager of Malahat SkyWalk. “We have created a special line-up of spring break activities this year as well as Easter festivities that the whole family will enjoy.”

About the SkyWalk

Climb the spiral ramp to enjoy beautiful, sweeping views at 250 m above sea level, where you’ll catch glimpses of Mt. Baker, the Saanich Peninsula, and islands in both the U.S. and Canada. Breathe in that fresh coastal air and enjoy the sounds and textures of the forest!

If you feel like taking a quicker route back down from the viewing platform, you can slide down their 20-foot-long spiral slide.

Feel like going on an Easter egg scavenger hunt? There will be one every day from March 29th to April 1st. Even better? Those who complete the hunt will receive a free hot chocolate!

Hours & info

The SkyWalk is open daily and will operate from 9 am to 5 pm from March 10th to May 14th. Families can take advantage of the free spring admission for children from March 9th to April 1st, with one child receiving free admission with every adult ticket purchased.

So there you have it, BC. If you’re looking for a fun family-friendly activity to add to your list of things to do this spring, this is a great option to consider.
