No COVID, no problem – just be prepared to prove it! Live Nation Canada announced this week that they will soon require ticket holders to prove that they’ve been vaccinated OR have tested negative for the coronavirus in order to enter one of their concerts.
As for when exactly this will start happening? Well, according to the Canadian Press, they declined to say – though Michael Rapino, CEO of the company did confirm via Twitter that this will be in effect across the US as of October 4th.
Inevitably, when they do enforce this new rule on either side of the continent, not everyone is going to be stoked (to put it lightly), but we’re pretty confident that they can weather the storm. After all, they already have a little bit of experience.

Back in July, Live Nation, who is behind Chicago-based festival, Lollapalooza, had all guests flash their papers at the gate and it actually went off without a hitch. Surprisingly over 90% of their attendees were totally vaccinated and alright with proving it.
Other organizations, like the Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Group, also have announced that they will require both staff and patrons to get the jab before entering any of their venues or restaurants – so this will likely be the new norm.
As for all of you that already have tickets for one of their future shows, don’t fret. You will get an email from Live Nation Canada ahead of time with more information, so stay tuned.
This will definitely be an interesting one to watch unfold, but what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments!
