A two-day light festival is coming to Vancouver’s Chinatown next month & here’s when

Next month, Vancouver’s Chinatown will be adorned with colourful light decorations in a two-day community-wide celebration. If you’re looking for an excuse to dress up in your nicest fall attire and peruse the local food & drink scene, this is it. Mark your calendars for Light Up Chinatown – slated for Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th.

In addition to beautiful glowy lights surrounding you, the celebration will feature a ton of food truck eats, and tasty options galore via a self-guided walking food tour. Sample specialty offerings from Chinatown’s local award-winning merchants between 11 am and 9 pm on Saturday, and until 6 pm on Sunday.

Light Up Chinatown is presented by RBC and co-hosted by the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation, along with several other local associations. The event will take place at 500 Columbia Street and neighbouring streets in Chinatown.
