If you love the summer heat, we have just the town for you. Leamington, Ontario is one of the province’s southernmost towns with long, hot summers. In fact, Leamington has the same latitude as California! Pack your car – here’s what to do while visiting.

According to the Leamington website, “Our winters are probably the mildest in the county and our summers are long and lingering. Lakeside breezes moderate our weather year round.”
One of the area’s biggest attractions is Point Pelee National Park! The park is home to the most southern point of Canada’s mainland, a spot where visitors can walk right out to.
While it is the second smallest national park in Canada it’s actually the most ecologically diverse, home to a massive population of diverse bird and animal species and is an important migration stopover point for Monarch butterflies and birds.

While you’re strolling through town be sure to grab a coffee at Lakeside Bakery Deli Cafe, one of Leamington’s most loved coffee shops.
Seacliff Park has some sandy shores to enjoy your coffee at with views of Lake Erie.
If you need something a little stronger than a coffee then there’s an awesome brewery in town called Cured Craft.
Not only do they serve up delicious local brews, but they also have weekly live music in the summer time with a full line up here.
